Logo Final

I really enjoyed creating my own logo that is totally my own.  I created the type using a brush and playing with the vector lines to give it a very personalized touch.  The black business card is really strong and the bright orange logo shows up great aided by the orange border.

Poster

This has been my favorite final product I have created all semester!  I chose to flip the black and white selfie in order to create a leading line from my eye towards the text on the poster.  The second down in my first draft with my intended text and an experiment with the typography in sunshine.  Ultimately the bottom two were my final products.  The orange palette was my personal favorite because of its correlation with the message, but the 70's poster theme was better represented through the brown and blue palette.  This has been my favorite work and i look forward to playing with my skills from this project in future work.

BW -> COLOR

I found this project really interesting because of the use of color theory.  Adobe color is such a unique website and I really enjoyed experimenting with different palettes and placement of color.

Calligram

For this assignment I chose to use lyrics from a song that I am highly connected to at this time of my life titled Hallucinogenics.  I used this as inspiration for the font, background, and the color palette.  I draw a lot of inspiration from 70's aethethics in my work, and the lyrics of this song resinate with that as well.  I enjoyed learning how this process works, and can see myself practicing more calligrams for my future work.
